Carle Place Water District Announces Meter Replacement Changeout Project

Dear Customer,

As part of our commitment to conservation and to best serve our customers, the Carle Place Water District is undergoing a District-wide meter replacement project. Saks Metering has been contracted by the Carle Place Water District to conduct this mandatory changeout.

Security is a top priority at the District. All Saks installers will have appropriate photo and badge identification, uniforms, and car signage clearly indicating “Contracted by the Carle Place Water District.”

Typically, the replacement process for residential meters takes about 30 minutes to complete, while the duration for commercial accounts may vary based on meter size.

Earlier in March, the District mailed a postcard to all customers to announce the program.  In early April, Saks Metering began mailing postcards to set up customer appointments. We request that you schedule an appointment directly with Saks Metering within 15 days of receiving the notification by mail.

  • Call at (877) 583-7257 and schedule your appointment by phone (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or (Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

This replacement service is MANDATORY and is provided at NO COST TO YOU. Also, it’s important to understand that the right to access your property for meter replacement, repair, installation or inspection is a condition for receiving water service.
