Water Service Line Inventory Continues Throughout the District
The Carle Place Water District (CPWD) takes proactive steps and measures to continually safeguard our community’s water supply.
In compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Lead and Copper Rule Revision (LCRR), CPWD completed a comprehensive inventory of the materials used in water service lines across our distribution area and notified all customers of their service line material accordingly. The EPA also required that a yearly update of the service line inventory be done. CPWD completed the update to the service line inventory and is now notifying only those customers with unknown and galvanized requiring replacement service lines.
